Our in-house lab equipment is an integral part of our commitment to quality care for your pet. We can provide lab work results within hours, and can assess a pet's fitness for surgery just prior to the procedure itself. Prompt lab results help us determine diagnoses more quickly.

Our ultrasound aids in diagnosing problems with your pet's heart, liver, kidneys or bladder without invasive surgery. Ultrasound images can be viewed, then digitally sent via the internet to specialists for consultations. We can also use our ultrasound as an aid in procedures, such as ultrasound guided biopsies, enabling us to perform biopsies without a surgical incision.

Our newest diagnostic tool is a video otoscope/rigid endoscope. We are now able to clearly view internal structures in a less invasive manner, perform a wide variety of procedures, and take digital pictures of our findings - even videos.

We make every effort to optimize your pet's health during surgery. An Engler ventilator is utilized during your pet's surgery to maintain respiration. Heart activity, as well as oxygenation of the blood is monitored with a Surgivet heart monitor. Our Doppler Blood Flow Monitor enables us to access our patient's blood pressure. The surgery table is padded and heated for your pet's comfort and health.

Our X-ray facilities are available throughout most of the day. The combination of fast film and an automatic film processor helps us achieve high quality radiographs, giving you the answer you need rapidly.

We feel very strongly about the importance of good dental health. Dental infections can spread via the bloodstream to other parts of the body. It is believed that 70-80% of heart valve problems are a result of chronic mouth infections. We utilize an Ultima VetBase Dental Unit, as well as a Vetroscan Ultrasonic Dental Unit for dental procedures and cleaning and polishing.

Our commitment to quality care for your cat is reflected in our in-house lab machines. We recently acquired the latest laser technology, the IDEXX LaserCyte. We can provide lab-work results within hours, and can assess your cat's fitness for surgery just prior to the procedure itself. Prompt lab results aid us in determining diagnoses more quickly.
